Crysis is now on the Playstation Network

Crysis 2 was somewhat of a gaming mess with people either loving the game or hating the game.  Crytek finally made the jump and put the original Crysis on the Playstation Market.  For $20 PS3 owners can get a taste of what the original Crysis felt like.  The game is the single player campaign only.

The original Crysis was a huge deal when it was first released.  It became one those benchmarking games, where if someone said their computer was able to run Crysis, you knew their rig was awesome.  And it was once publicly noted that 'Crysis would never be able to run on a game console'.  I wonder how they feel about that now?

So fast forward a few years and now we have it on the PSN.  If you have never played the original Crysis, I would highly recommend it.  It is an awesome game.  And hopefully that awesomeness will translate well in the PS3 port.  For those who have no clue what Crysis is, it's a first person shooter based game where you play  a soldier code named 'Nomad' who wears an awesome "Nanosuit" which grants the person wearing enhanced strength, speed, shields, or cloaking.  You can play the game by running and gunning your way through the enemies or by taking a more strategic approach.  If you need info on the story, watch the trailer:

Crysis coming to PSN and Xbox Live in October

Heads up fans of first-person shooter's and console gaming.  The one game people said would never run on a console (which doesn't make much sense especially since Crysis 2 is on console systems too).  Looks like it will run about $19.99 in points on your system of choice.

Also it will add Stereoscopic 3-D to the original game.
