Guild Wars Halloween Hats Coming Back...

If you are a Guild Wars player than you will now that every holiday events are thrown in several of the large city hubs in-game.  Part of these events include winning the free holiday hats for your character.  And if you remember just a few weeks ago, the north-eastern portion of the United States was wrecked with a freak snowstorm that managed to wipe out power to a majority of those people.  Due to this ArenaNet will be making the holiday hats given out for Halloween available to anybody who missed their chance at getting them over Halloween Weekend.

Here's the deal (per the official GW forum): a Holiday Hat giver will be located in Kamadan and Lion's Arch and will accept holiday items given out as loot during the Halloween festivities in exchange for the hats.  According to the forum it looks like the Hat Givers should be in-game next week (more than likely) and will be there for one week.

Unfortunately, I haven't been in the game for several months and have no Halloween goodies to trade.  Hey ArenaNet, why not just inbox the hats to all players or send us redemption codes to our accounts via in-game mail and let those who didn't get the hats unlock them?  Just wondering.
