Free Game Music? Don't Mind If I Do!

We all love freebies, right?  I know I do.  And I also love playing games.  So where does this mix?  Probably not where you're thinking.  I'm talking about free media from games; such as music.  Ever play a game that had an awesome soundtrack, but couldn't find any where to purchase it?

Some companies are starting to see the advantage in throwing potential customer's a few treats.  I stumbled upon a free track created for the RAGE Untethered trailer for id Software's upcoming title: Rage.  And the song is pretty awesome.  Entitled "Burning Jacob's Ladder" by Mark Lanegan.  Be sure to swing by: http://www.rage.com/en/extras-rage-mark-lanegan to get your copy for free.

Watch the trailer:

The second site I want to point out has quite a bit more for free.  This site offers 64 tracks split up over three different 'albums' or downloads.  You can also download all three albums in one file as well.  What is the music from?  A little game called: Portal 2!

Sure the portal music may be aspire a little more to the geeky side.  But come on, it's free music and it's from Portal 2.  If nothing else, it will make for cool background noise in the home office.  Swing by:
